Credit Card Interest-Free Period Calculator

Credit cards give you up to about 50 interest-free days, but how many you get depends on when you buy. Find your due date for any purchase and the best day of the month to use your card.

Usually 15–20 days. Check your statement.

How the interest-free period works

Purchases are collected until your statement date. You then have a set number of days (usually 15–20) until the payment due date. A purchase made the day after your statement date gets the longest interest-free period: a full cycle plus the grace days. A purchase made on the statement date gets the shortest.

The interest-free period only applies if you pay the total amount due. If you carry a balance, interest is charged from the transaction date. See the interest calculator.
